Questions before you join
Vegigo is early. That is why the community matters.
Here is how Vegigo works, what to expect in early cities, and how ratings, reviews, and dietary verification help diners make better decisions.
Using Vegigo
What is Vegigo?+-
Vegigo is a community-built app for vegetarian, vegan, Jain, halal vegetarian, Buddhist vegetarian, and gluten-free dining. It helps you find places you may be able to eat and contribute better dietary details for the next diner.
Is Vegigo free?+-
Yes. The app is free to download on iOS and Android.
Is Vegigo only for vegans?+-
No. Vegigo supports many dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, Jain, Buddhist vegetarian, halal vegetarian, no onion/no garlic, gluten-free, and more.
Where does Vegigo work?+-
Vegigo is starting in Asia Pacific, with early community focus around Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Some cities are still early, so useful submissions and verifications matter.
Community-built map
What if my city has only a few places?+-
That means your city is early. You can still use Vegigo to save places, submit missing restaurants, and help build a better map for people who eat like you.
Can I add a missing restaurant?+-
Yes. Vegigo is designed for community contributions. Adding useful places is one of the fastest ways to make the map better.
Can I verify dietary details?+-
Yes. You can help confirm dietary tags based on what you know from eating there or checking with the restaurant.
How do ratings and verification work together?+-
Ratings help summarize the dining experience. Verification signals help answer a different question: whether a place fits specific dietary needs. Vegigo needs both.
Dietary confidence
What dietary filters does Vegigo support?+-
Vegigo supports 18 dietary filters, including vegan, pure vegetarian, Jain, halal, Buddhist vegetarian, no onion/no garlic, gluten-free, organic, and other common needs.
Are dietary tags guaranteed?+-
No app can guarantee dietary safety. Vegigo shows community signals to reduce guessing, but you should still confirm critical dietary needs directly with the restaurant.
What should I do if information is wrong?+-
Update or dispute it in the app when possible. The map improves when diners correct stale or unclear information.
Restaurants and events
Can restaurants claim their page?+-
Yes. Restaurants can claim their profile and help diners understand what they can safely order.
Can I submit a vegetarian event?+-
Yes. Vegigo accepts vegetarian markets, vegan pop-ups, cooking classes, festivals, and community meetups for review.
Can vendors at markets join Vegigo?+-
Yes. Event submissions can include food stalls and vendors so they can be discovered by diners before and after the event.
